Special Forum 19: The Future of Sustainable Building

Much of what is said of a sustainable future revolves around the nature of the city and planning issues: but what part will the buildings play in a sustainable future? This session will feature three speakers that all have architectural training - each of whom will speak of their view of future green buildings by answering three questions:

  • The big picture - what will buildings need to achieve?
What part will buildings need to play in a sustainable future (for all)

  • Around the corner - what future buildings might be possible?
Emerging technologies that address sustainability and offer hope for the role buildings can play in a sustainable future.

  • Where are we at now?
Leading examples of green building that are achievable and happening now.
