Special Forum 18: Education, Skills and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Communities

Sustainable cities are the result of a visionary and committed leadership, and the efforts of highly skilled professionals for a successful, sustainable city. In addition to technical skills - in which there seems to be an emerging shortage - certain generic skills and other qualities are required to deliver a sustainable community. Foremost among these are innovativeness and entrepreneurship. This session will explore what's being done in places around the world to develop these skills and qualities, and what will be required to ‘green' the workforce.

Speaker

Dr John Spierings, Research Strategist, Dusseldorp Skills Forum (Australia)
